WHAT IS PILATES PLUS?

Simply put, the Pilates Plus method is a combination of resistance training, stretching, cardiovascular, core training and Pilates. Pilates Plus utilizes the best of both: the strengthening and toning benefits of resistance training, and the lengthening, rehabilitative and postural enhancing benefits of Pilates, in a circuit training sequence. Pilates Plus keeps the heart rate up and burns extra calories- yielding maximum results in minimum time. The routine is high intensity but low impact. With the support of the MegaFormer™ , this workout eliminates excess pressure on joints/connective tissue and the spine.

I HAVE NEVER DONE PILATES, CAN I DO THE CLASSES? OR SHOULD I DO PRIVATE SESSIONS FIRST?

Although it’s not mandatory, we do recommend that new clients take at least 1 private session to learn the basics of the machine and the workout style.  No matter what your fitness level, Pilates Plus can be challenging so we want you to have the best experience possible.  The workout is intense but the routine is kept simple to make sure everyone is using good form.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE PILATES PLUS?

The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you need to rest. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover. We recommend 2 to 3 times a week to allow your body to properly repair and recover. Some students love the workout so much that they come 5 or 6 times a week.  There’s no right or wrong answer.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

1. Bring socks as we require them for class.  We do sell ToeSox® in our boutique and recommend any socks with grippy bottoms.
2. Bring a towel, as you will most likely sweat!
3. Don’t forget water.
4. Wear loose, comfortable clothes that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin to “breathe.”
5. Jewelry is NOT a good idea.
6. No cell phones during classes.
7. No strong perfumes, as some students are allergic.

WHAT IF I CAN’T COME TO CLASS AND I HAVE ALREADY BEEN CONFIRMED? WILL I BE CHARGED?

Yes, once confirmed, a space will be reserved for you exclusively. In order to be fair to the studio and respectful to other members, we require an 8-hour notice before making any kind of changes to your schedule. The same rules apply to the Unlimited Membership option.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

As a courtesy to others please cancel your class at least 8 hours prior to the start of class. Cancellations less than 8 hours prior to the start of class will result in the following fees.
• Unlimited packages: $15 fee
• All other packages: $5 fee and loss of 1 class credit.
• No show: $25 fee and loss of 1 class credit for all class packages.
• Privates Session: $25 fee if late cancelled or entire session fee if a no show.
We understand that life happens and appreciate your adherence to our cancellation policies.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT SCHEDULING CLASSES AND TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE AUTOMATED BOOKING SYSTEM?

We encourage all of our members to get familiar with our automated booking system. It is the easiest, fastest, and most accurate way to book classes and manage your schedule.
