WHAT IS PILATES PLUS AND "THE LAGREE FITNESS METHOD?"
You’ll often here The Lagree Fitness Method referred to as Pilates Plus, because it seamlessly fuses Pilates + various other elements of: resistance training, stretching, cardiovascular, and core training. Pilates Plus utilizes the best of both: the strengthening and toning benefits of resistance training, and the lengthening, rehabilitative and postural enhancing benefits of Pilates. Classes are taught in a circuit training sequence to amplify fat burning effects, yielding maximum results in minimal time. The routine is high intensity but low impact, and with the support of the MegaFormer™, this workout eliminates excess pressure on joints/connective tissue and the spine.
WHAT IS THE MEGAFORMER?
I HAVE NEVER DONE PILATES PLUS/LAGREE FITNESS, CAN I DO THE CLASSES?
Our classes are specifically designed to be challenging, but accommodate all levels of fitness. Although clients can jump in on any class, our studio also offers beginner classes, should you feel more comfortable starting there. Your instructor will be there to guide and encourage you every step of the way regardless of what class you take. The workout is intense but the routine is kept simple to make sure everyone is using good form.
You are also welcome to schedule a one-on-one private session if you would like to really dig in, and learn the basics of the machine and the workout style. Contact us for information on private training.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE PILATES PLUS?
The workout is designed to work your entire body, challenging maximum muscle stimulation. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you may need more or less time to recover. We recommend 2 to 3 times a week to start, in order to allow your body to properly repair and recover. As you move forward, prepare to dial it up! Many of our students love the workout so much that they join us 4 to 5 times a week.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?
2. Bring a towel, as you will most likely sweat!
3. Don’t forget water.
4. Wear loose, comfortable clothes that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin to “breathe.”
5. Jewelry is NOT a good idea.
6. No cell phones during classes.
7. No strong perfumes, as some students are allergic.
